Team Matrix Horse Hit Parade SFS is CDS and USDF Region 7 Second Level Dressage Horse of the Year
Matrix horse Hit Parade SFS is the 2008 Second Level Dressage Horse of the Year for both the California Dressage Society and the U.S. Dressage Federation Region 7. The fabulous six-year-old Rheinlander stallion is owned by a trio of three sisters - Sandy Burns-Gardner, Jeanne Burns and Kathy Schack.
Sandy is also the rider and trainer of Hit Parade and the two of them have had a fabulous year. In addition to their Horse of the Year awards, this pair also qualified to compete in the 2008 Markel/USEF National Young Horse Dressage Championships, which were held in Kentucky in September. At that competition, Sandy and Hit Parade finished fourth in the nation in the Six-Year-Old Horse division.
"The Matrix would like to take credit for the successes that Sandy and Hit Parade have had this year, but we must admit that Hit Parade is just a fantastic horse and Sandy is a super rider," said Matrix Vice President Keith Manfred.
The sisters, however, do give credit to the Matrix for helping to keep Hit Parade healthy and happy. Kathy said they also greatly appreciate the support the Matrix has given to Sandy and Hit Parade. "We thank you so much for your support," she told Manfred after their latest victory.
"Certainly, we want our Team Matrix members to help promote our Matrix nutritional supplements. But, we also want to make it fun to be a member of our team," he said. "We want people to enjoy being on the team and that means providing them with opportunities like this evening, where they can come together, relax and have some fun together."
