Leading Show Jumper Sarah Baldwin Joins Team Matrix Saying Proof of the Matrix is in Performance
Leading show jumping rider and trainer Sarah Baldwin is the latest top equestrian to become a Team Matrix member. "Amazing" is how Baldwin describes the changes she's seen in her horses since she began feeding Matrix nutritional supplements.
Baldwin, who has several times represented the U.S. in international competition, uses three Matrix products - ECP Matrix, Blood Matrix and Muscle Matrix - and she's convinced of their benefits for her horses. "The proof is in their performance," she said. Blood Matrix is specially designed to improve energy and endurance and to promote quicker recovery after exercise. It works by helping to improve the transportation of oxygen to cells and the removal of carbon dioxide. Muscle Matrix is specially formulated to help build and strengthen muscles and ECP Matrix provides superior immune system support with the result that a healthier horse is a more focused horse.
Baldwin first learned about the Matrix from a friend. She tested the Matrix on one horse and now feeds Matrix supplements to five horses in her barn. "I started with the one and it really helped with the focus of the mare and it calmed her hormones, which is typically an issue with mares. It really improves a horse's overall, consistent outlook for the daily training program," Baldwin said.
She was so impressed with the impacts of the Matrix on the horse, that she tried Matrix human supplements on herself. "And wow, I love it. I love the energy it gives me. It's a good, balanced energy. It's not a zippy energy, just a good energy." Soon Baldwin started trying Matrix supplements on other horses. She started feeding Muscle Matrix to Olivier, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion that had been out of work for months due to an injury. "He had lost muscle tone and condition and I started him on Muscle Matrix and he's popping out muscles in places he never did before," Baldwin said. "It's amazing how well he's come back."
Olivier is back in competition at Grand Prix. Competing alongside him in the Grand Prix ring is Patries, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare that Baldwin started on Blood Matrix. "I used to have a problem with her about three-quarters of the way through the course. She would just run out of gas and energy. I needed something that would give her stamina without changing her performance." Blood Matrix was the answer to the mare's problem. "I've seen a huge difference with her at home. Her blood, her energy and her breathing are all so much better. I'm excited to see how she'll do in the show ring now that she's been on the Matrix," Baldwin said.
Baldwin, who owns Brookwood Stables in Southern California, said the Matrix is truly the natural health solution for high performance competitors such as herself. "The products work but even better yet, they are completely natural. At our level, we have to be careful of the strict rules and regulations regarding use of supplements and medications. Matrix products are natural and safe."
Baldwin's equestrian career goes all the way back to her childhood when she competed with ponies and hunters. She currently holds the women's indoor high jump record at 7'41/2". She's been one of America's leading show jumpers for many years and twice represented the U.S. in World Cup competition. She's currently aiming to qualify to compete in the National Division at the 2009 Show Jumping World Cup that will be held in Las Vegas in April.
